Delegation from Kazakhstan´s Estate Centre visits the State Land Service
On 22 October 2015 the State Land Service hosted delegation from the Estate Center of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Goal of the visit was to discuss best practices that both countries use developing services and implementing data exchange, as well as role of cadastral survey of buildings in cadastral valuation.

Guests from Kazakhstan were eager to learn some of the organizational aspects of the State Land Service´s operations, such as performance of information system for client service management and how task distribution and control process within the system work. Kazakh colleagues were interested in State Land Service´s expertise in cadastral survey of buildings. Their questions concerned organization and efficiency of the survey process, technological solutions, as well as the role and usage of survey data in mass cadastral evaluation.

In Kazakhstan currently there are several autonomous registers connected to estate. Kazakh colleagues shared their ambition to combine all of them and establish a common register for all components in future, e.g. land, buildings, property rights etc. They also informed Latvian colleagues about plan to optimize providing of services through united client service centres. In reaching this goal many governmental institutions will be involved. At present similar approach is being implemented in Latvia.

Meeting participants agreed that discussions about various practices and approaches were highly valuable for both countries and will benefit their further development. At the conclusion of the meeting, State Land Service received Kazakhstan’ s Estate Centre call for further cooperation, as despite the differences, both institutions share a common goal – to provide quality services to population and a smooth transition to e-environment.
